Random thoughts that just pop

Davis boy boy is turning 1 in a few days time. I can't lock time in a safe and it just zoomed past me. I should really be cherishing my remaining months in the States before the reality starts to kick in. I've seen a couple of friends who used to stay in Arizona, commenting that Singapore is a reality whereas States is like a dream or something.. I totally agree to that statement.

My rotting-at-home-time is coming to an end pretty soon. Just like 1 year ago, I gave birth to a most gorgeous boy, Davis Kwong on 7th May 08. Since after, my rotting time has turned into an extremely hectic and very tiring job that I have to be ready almost 24/7.

Davis on his part did what all babies have to do.. He grow up everyday, bit by bit.. He is now taller, stronger, heavier, noisier and very demanding on occasions. As for me, I became very fat but finally manage to get back to my pre-preg weight. A bit grouchy and short tempered sometimes. Must be the lack of proper sleep and entertainment..

Sometime before I end my stay in AZ, I'm going to do a post on the differences between Singapore and States.

My thoughts about my 2 years 9 months stay in Arizona.

Places that I've been during this period etc...

So stay tuned.. They should be coming in late August or after..

Shopping day at Chandler

We went shopping at Chandler today. I told hunny that I need new clothes for our trip in May and today is a Saturday so we've decided to hit the mall. Prior to that we visited our usual restaurant Da Vang to have our very late lunch. While driving along I-10, I thought we were going to Arizona Mills, but hunny drove past the exit at baseline and told me that we were going to Chandler instead. Of course I know the reason. They have Abercrombie and Fitch in Chandler! But actually I wasn't keen at all. Because although I can accept their style, their prices is way to much for me to accept. Even clearance items. But for hunny, AF is one of his favourites.

His catch of the day.

$50 each, I want to faint le.

Our mindset is to go straight to the end of the store for that is where the clearance items are. These Chinese collar cotton shirt are now at $19.99 each. So hunny manage to get 2 of them at $42.88 in total. That I can accept..

Now it's my turn.

I was a tad disappointed when I saw Forever 21 has turned into a bicycle store.. But as we walked a bit further, I saw this huge XXI store that sells female apparels. When I finally made my purchases at the cashier, I realise the plastic bags that they use were of the same design from Forever 21. That was when I realise I was right inside Forever 21.. I couldn't read the word XXI and thought it means 101. Silly me..

my scalloped skirt

little vest

and lastly some accessories from ALDO.
.
.
I'm very stupid. I saw the sticker that was pasted on the price tag of the clips. It says 2 for 1.. Immediately my mind was registered with the meaning of any 2 for $1. Happily made my pick and asked hunny for cash. He gave me a $10 (thank God), and when the cashier ask for $9++, I was shocked. I even asked the girl politely if they were 2 for 1. Luckily I said 2 for 1 and not 2 for $1.. It suddenly daunted on me that it was a buy 1 get 1 free offer.. Still I have to pay for one of them whichever is more costly.. So embarrassed.. Next time I have to open my eyes wider. $9++ is still a bargain while $1 would be a steal!

What should I do?

I was never a person with patience to begin with.. Nope its not happening yet, not now.. I want to complain!! I wanted to brand them as my neighbours from HXLL, but shall call them my terrible neighbours instead. They partied 3 day straight from the 1st day. Cranking up the most irritating and definitely the most annoying noise by stomping on the floor, kicking on the wall (I guess because they got high and really excited about something, football maybe??), cheering loudly and running down the stairs at wee hours or very early in the morning without any consideration for the neighbours. That aside. they even resort to playing pranks on us, 2nd time this month!! XXxxXXx!!!!!!! And fyi, this is only their 1st month..
.
.
.

The stupidest thing is that they put it in such a way that its so obvious to us..
Are they missing some brains?? Knock on their head, "Hello, brains are you there??"

The 1st time they put a half eaten ice-cream cup from cold stone under our wheel. And this morning, they left a cup with some brownish looking liquid underneath that same wheel again..

The only differences is that the 1st time they put the cup at the back of the front wheel. Which means that we will roll over the cup when we do our reverse. Today is, how should I say? The brain thingy. They put it in front of the front wheel.. So even if we do a reverse, we won't hit the cup.. Now tell me, is that a clever thing to do?? I can't explain it.. NO BRAIN AT ALL.

The 1st time we wanted to take revenge by putting the ice-cream cup under their own wheel. Since we saw it and had prevented that little mishap. But guilt came over us, I went back to pick up that cup, together with other litters (can of beer and empty Gatorade bottle) that they discarded around my house. I'm not their servant lor. And I still have to pick up after them. Grrr!!!! That happen last week, and today we have new litters again..

Thrown down from their patio.

Now I really regret not staying on the 2nd floor. At least I don't have to suffer from those unnecessary noise and probably lesser bugs. How am I going to endure the next 5 months?

ZZzzz.. I wish for a good sleep

I have a sleeping disorder!! I'm having insomnia now.. It's 5 min to 6 in the morning and here I am blogging.. Seriously I don't like this at all. iIIII envy my husband who can doze off almost immediately, the moment his head touches the pillow. I, on the other hand doesn't possess any of this quality at all..

Sheena commented that I am beginning to look like her.. Both of us are developing panda eyes. Who am I to blame? Davis just fell asleep at 5am. We had this change in our sleeping pattern that I like it in one way but detest it to bitsssss on another..

We (Davis and I) now will usually only turn into bed after 4a.m. Sleeps till probably anything from 2p.m to 4.30p.m, then the day went on till about 8p.m, Davis has his nap for maybe 2hr+/-. Continued to 4a.m.. So that's our usual routine for now.

I don't like the idea of waking up in the morning even if I turned in early the night before.. Simply put it this way, I'm a night-owl. After living together with Eric for so many years. I'll picked up this habit of his.. And now we are spreading this "virus" to our 11 months old son. OMGOSH!!!

I hate bugs!!!!!!!! I wish to live in a bug free zone but unfortunately this wish of mine is far beyond reach. Summer is around the corner and these little pests are bugging me like a plague.. Why didn't they just die during the winter? I'm sorry God. I didn't mean to curse them but why did you create them when they serve no purpose other than to irritate people??

I just walked out of my house towards my car which is probably 10 steps away and on my pants, I see little flying bugs sticking on it.. I swear never to open my windows to prevent them from entering but there's no point in doing so.. They're so tiny. Which make it easy for them to crawl into my house through any little opening.

These little buggers invaded my fluorescent lamp..

I have a new best friend and her name is Shieldtox Insecticide.. All I need from her is a few sprays and its goodbye bugs and spider.. My hair is standing as though they are preparing to do the hero salute.. And until now which is almost 30min later.. They're still at that same position..

I'm going to ask the pest control guy to come in next Monday and I'll be sure to stay at home for them.. Requested their service a couple of time but a hateful thing is they always come when I'm not around. What a bother..

For now I only want to fall asleep. In the first place, panda eyes are never welcome at all.

It's for Davis again..

We went to a restaurant D&B at Tempe marketplace that has similar dining concept as Peter Piper Pizza.. It is a place where you can dine and play at the same time. Actually we were planning to go to the Hooter's at downtown but the place was already fully packed and the waiting list is quite long so we switched location. Sheena used the points that they won from the games to redeem gifts for every kids of our's. Here is our Moo Moo Cow from Sheena and Moey. Thank you.

Bought a pair of gigantic leaf from Ikea. It's not cheap. they're about $15 each.. I intend to use these leaves to decorate Davis future room in our Singapore flat. If you had read my older posts, you'll know that Davis has a Rainforest's series jumperoo from Fisherprice. I'm going to continue the rainforest spirit in our new home, I mean erhmm his room..

Sheena gave Davis a pair of Crocs as Bjorn already had a pair of the same size.. I bought the Spongebob and squarepants Crocs from ROSS.. It's only $4.99. And the Osh Kosh sandals is from Merry..

Last weekend, we went to Ikea with Rayson and his family, Moey and his family and my own family.. Daddy picked the toy on the left ($7.99) cause he said that the little colorful blocks will not mess up our house as they were "caged" in the colorful metal wires. So no toys to pick and also I need not sing that piece of song Clean Up, Clean Up, everybody, everyday from Barney. I pick the one on the right ($10.99) as it might be useful for Davis in the future. When he start to learn math. In the end Davis seems to prefer the one that I picked.

The 1st 3 piece set cost $8.25, the other 2 is about $6.99 each.

I went to Babies "R" Us about a mile away from our house with Lynn, Sheena and Jerlyn. Suppose to accompany Lynn as it was her virgin visit to this new outlet but I ended up doing some purchases for Davis boy boy..

mental note to self, Bring Daddy Kwong to Toys "R" Us to look at the Mickey Mouse table set..

Inside one of the shops.. Everything looks so buyable.. If you get what I mean.

I'm almost ready to write. Almost there.. Getting abit sleepy again.. But before I shut my com off I better be off to start on this new post.. So here goes....
Princesses catwalking on the flight line.
Rented a pilot uniform for photo-taking..

We went to the airshow at Luke Airforce base.

Sheena, Moey and me had breakfast at Litchfield Mcdowell before heading to the CVS pharmacy where there is transport for us.. It was about 10.30am and the jam on the road was still pretty bad as alot of people were also heading in the same direction as us.. The base is completely flooded with tons of peoples as it is also open for public..

My reviews on Liang Zhu.

The Butterfly Lovers

Cast:
Nicky Wu as Liang Shan Bo 梁山伯
Charlie Yeung Choi-Nei as Zhu Ying Tai 祝英台

This is the first movie of the butterfly lovers I've ever watched. The ending is somewhat scary to me as I was only 12 at that time and I was really frighten by the paper white makeup on Ying Tai's face and also the part when she jumped into the grave..
Verdict: It's good. Old time classic.

Cast:

Peter Ho as Liang Shan Bo 梁山伯
Dong Jie as Zhu Ying Tai 祝英台

This is considered to be the most comprehensive, finest and largest scale television series which presents truest adaptation of the original legend. I love this the most.. There was a part when Ying Tai had to dance on a stage and I was mesmerize by her moves..

Verdict: Thumbs up. Recommended to all.

Cast:

Wu Chun as Liang Shanbo
Charlene Choi as Zhu Yingtai

This one, is really so-so.. I'm watching this movie because I love Wu Chun, the one and only reason.. The plot has got so much twist in it that it doesn't seems to make the audience feel anything similar to the original butterfly lover anymore, except that the ending is pretty much the same..

Verdict: Watch it if you have time to spare..

少年梁祝

the youth of liang shan bo and zhu ying tai

Cast:

Show Luo as Liang Shanbo
Vivien Leung as Zhu Yingtai

The dubbing is terrible, the acting is terrible too.. I love Alan Luo a lot in the recent years and happen to realise that he starred in this drama series a few years back.. Went to watch this series at tudou.com and it's so terrible that I only manage to finish the first episode. Very disappointed with the plot and their acting skills..

Verdict: Don't bother..
