Singapore my homeland it's here where we belong..

Hey peeps, sorry to kept you waiting for so long. I'm finally stepping on the Singapore soil after a super long and seems-like-never-going-to-end flight... 2 transit plus flight time which totals up to 24hr is definately no joke.. But then I've made it together with Peishan and a helpful China-origin American uncle..

At long last, I found myself joining the queue at the immigration which is for All Passport holders.. Felt very nervous as prior to the flight, Eric was telling me that maybe the officer at the immigration would ask me plenty of question. But he was totally wrong.. The lady officer was kind and friendly, which really put me at ease.. After clearing immigration, I was comfortably sitting in my cousin's Honda WISH heading towards my in-law's home..

Some little things that I have noticed, Singaporeans has a long way to learn on regards to being courteous and helpful..
Generally speaking a very large portion of the public transport commuters are selfish and kiasu.. That includes those foreigners from Bao, Curry and Satay.. After so many years, you still see people waiting anxiously right infront of the MRT door and getting ready to dash for the seats..

And also, it's hard to find toilets that has a infant changing table.. I saw toilets that has those new version hand dryers, toilets with a cubicle that has a small toilet bowl meant for little kids and even little boy's standing toilet.. Ahh, whatever that is call.. But NO INFANT CHANGING TABLE!!!!! Grrrr...

Some of the items that I saw was so ridiculously priced, I wonder why.. One of the Palmer's body product that I bought in the States were like USD$3 and they were going for SGD$20++.. I can buy 4 of them in Walmart.
Brand new baby Jumperoo from Fisher price were USD$80 at Walmart but they were SGD$235 in Kiddy Palace.. Double the price lor!!

Just yesterday alone I spend $36+ on taxi's fare.. The meter jumped twice which is $0.40 while waiting for the green light..

I shall stop ranting for now!!!!

What a freaking night!!

So much words went on my mind while I was doing the dishes last night that I almost wanted to pen them down instantly but then its really very late. So I thought maybe I can do it tomorrow, which is now of course, but then the fumes had died down so much that I somehow forgotten what makes me so furious yesterday that I wanted to smash all the bowls and pots..

I remembered saying something like. "I hate the freaking dirty dishes and I hope that in my entire freaking life, I don't have to wash a freaking bowl!!" Then I corrected myself instantly that "No, it should be I don't have to do a freaking housework ever!!" Hoping that maybe God will accede to my tiny request.

Freaking mad when I'm looking at the freaking dirty stuff piling up in the sink.. Some of which were so tough to wash as the bits of the leftover like rice or cereal had dry up and it wouldn't come off even with the vigorous scrubbing. Hence I'm only left with one option that is to soak them overnight and wash them tomorrow.

I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth but fortunately I have such a wonderful mom that hardly demand me nor my sisters to do any of the housework. I grew up in such an environment that doing housework is such a detestation, at least it applies to me. Alas, I cannot tell you how much grief housework has afflict on me.. The damages has been done..

I wish that some clever Germans or Japanese would come out with disposable pots and pans.. If you see this and is neither a citizen of either, if you can invent what I hope for, please let me know.. I will change the country of your choice (either the word Germans or Japanese) to your nationality instead. And also, make it affordable else it won't benefit me anyway.

Last weekend our pastor was telling us that, for his baby, he would feed him himself. For his toddler, he cut the food into bite size and the toddler feeds himself. As for the teenager, he tell him where the food is and ask him to get his own food..

The same theory applies to us, Christians. When we are baby believers, other fellow Christians feeds us with information from the bible. When we get older, we learn to feed ourselves by studying the scriptures.. So something that I have learn throughout the years is that I'm not going to use vulgarities.. Be it verbal or written.. So no F words, no swearing and no foul.. But then I suppose "freaking" it not consider one of them right. And so does the word "Shit"..
Like, "Shit, I forgot to turn off the stove" etc.. Unless I say words like "Shit you" or "You are a piece of shit". That's different..
So you don't see words like chicken pie or F your mother kind of stuff in here..

I only want to make your reading experience with me enjoyable... =) Say cheese!!

Good money but not for me

Age is really catching up with me as I am writing this post. The headache seems like its here to stay as I've just popped 2 painkiller.. Grrr...

I was chatting with Sooyi the other day about the tattoo show held in Singapore and asked her to take some picts for me to see as I was unable to attend.

One of the tattoo featured was a tattoo of marine life on a woman's back..

Me to Sooyi: I can imagine the turtles swimming into the tattoo.. So scary..

If you had read the column on the right, turtles and tortoises are my ultimate hatred...

Now came this

'Best job in the world' offered

An Australian state is offering internationally what it calls "the best job in the world" -- earning a top salary for lazing around a beautiful tropical island for six months. Blah blah blah......

As for me, I will NEVER take up this offer even if its presented to me on a silver platter.. Let alone that there might be other 10 thousands people applying for that one job.

Imagine myself swimming in the sea... what if the turtles are swimming towards me?

what if I am being swallowed by a whale?

what if the great white sharks come and had me for dinner?

Haiz...

Shall abruptly end my post here..

Back from hospital..

Last night, I left the hospital feeling sicker then I first reached.. It's winter, hello.. And instead of turning on the heater, I was left lying on the hospital bed with a bad freeze.. Even with 3 blankets, a jacket and hunny's t-shirt.. Yes he played the hero and took off his t-shirt to wrap my feet cause they were cold..

Doctor came and started pressing on my abdomen, asked a few questions and left.. Nurse came and put me on drip and gave me 2 injections.. Waited for a few hours and left the hospital with a prescription with no diagnose..

Not too good

I have been feeling very sick for the past 1 week.. The dizziness seems to be getting worst by the day.. Just 2 days ago I started having diarrhea and vomited twice.. Was suppose to have dim sum and steamboat dinner with the Princesses but I had to cancel it.. If it doesn't get better by tonight, I'm going to the hospital.. Not a good start especially it's only days after the New year..

This coming Saturday, I'll be boarding the plane back to Singapore.. Sounds good right? After a whole 2 years 1 month.. Hurray!! I really miss a lot of things back home.. Family, friends, fooooooood. But why can't I have the best of both world? I'll be going home with Davis, leaving Daddy Kwong in Arizona for 2 whole month..

When I'm back, I need to..

Getting my hair fixed
Visiting my future home site
Buying some nice blings
Meeting friends
Shopping

That's it for now.. I'm going to the hospital.. Hope its nothing serious..

Welcome 2009..

Hi hi everybody, Happy New Year.. I'm so busy holidaying and watching drama since the 1st day of 2009 till now. Forget the fact that I'm 7 days late because I'm going to reward you with some of my new year photos!!

To welcome our 2009, we headed north to flagstaff with a bunch of friends to celebrate new year.. Just days before our trip, Daddy Kwong had started to prepare the stuff that we need.. This is not our 1st time travelling with Davis, however I felt that Daddy Kwong had taken a few extra precaution in the trip..

Eg: He bought heat pad that we could stuff inside our pockets to keep us warm.. My Davis had braved the cold weather in Canada. Even thou Canada isn't snowing at that time, but the temperature is like 8C lor. In my mind I'm thinking "Aiya, whats all these fuss about.."

He prepare biscuits and cracker that we are not suppose to eat!! Sounds a bit weird right. He told me that they are meant for emergency. Say we got stuck in the highway or somewhere and couldn't get help..

He bought a shovel in case our tyres got stuck in the snow.. Hey it's a shovel hor! Not a garden spade.. It's so big that it can't go into our car boot.. I had to squeeze in my seat with it.. What to do? Better be safe than sorry..

He wanted to buy a flea blanket so that we can use it in the car.. Or to use in emergency.. I recall that we have a brand new one at home so didn't buy..

He bought lots of other stuff for the car.. like emergency tyre repair kit and some other stuffs which I can't remember..

AND!! he brought our 1st aid kit too!!!

Our car is really overloaded with all the barang barang, 2 sleigh and luggages..
.
.
.
.
Me: "Why are we bringing all these?, this is not our 1st time travelling with Davis."

Eric: "You know, that day, somebody at work told me that there was a man that went travelling with his family, the car broke down and he went to look for help, leaving his wife and kids in the car. The man never return. He was found dead buried in the snow."

Me:"......"
.
.
.
.

I must say I love and appreciate Eric even more for all the efforts that he had put in.. Becoming a Dad has really mould him into a better person.. More considerate and thoughtful..
not snowing? Doesn't matter, I created my own..
This is me and the bunch of friends..

This is Huang Fei Hung vs Li Xiao Long
