Thanks for the big sales during thanksgiving

The sales during thanksgiving is like the biggest sales ever in that whole year.. So much sales going on and the deals are so attractive that it's almost like mission impossible.. Get it? not to be tempted of course.. This year is going to be my second and also the last Thanksgiving in the States.. Last year I was three months into my pregnancy that I was made to stay at home to recuperate and rest.. This year, we've decided to try our luck at some of the usual stores in Phoenix.. The first stop is Arizona mill..We went there at 11+pm cause the stores are open at 12 midnight (see I'm not the kiasu type).. It's my favourite shopping centre as the stuff are always on sales, and now being Thanksgiving, the sales were even bigger and better.. We bought a lot of stuff for Davis.. so cheap.. His cargo pants is only $1.99 each and that pair of shoe is only $2.99 excluding the storewide discounts. woohoo.. Chiong arh..

Queueing for Coach cause they are having 25% additional.. Angmos also very kiasu lor

Coach is having a 1 hour sales at 6pm. I reach there at around 5.45pm (see I prove that I'm not the kiasu type again) and there's already like a hundred people infront of me.. Suppose to help Sooyi get some Coach stuff but so sway.. only manage to get a keyfob for her.. I bought another 2 handbags for myself.. Aiyo spend money again.. But I will definately not buy a single Coach when I return to Singapore.. haha I'll aim for LV.. *evil grins

Hi' I'm only $5

Bought some Bebe tank top for only $16+ each.. I slup 5 pieces.. haha.. Today is the black Friday.. the sales lagi better.. Daddy Kwong bought a 4 gig ram for his laptop, new skin, a laptop cooling fan and a laptop cover at Fry's electronics.. I tell you.. its really cheap..I bought another pair of boots when I already had 3 pairs. Sheena says its worth investing as the boots in Singapore are very expensive.. I got for myself a scrapbook software for $39.99.. After the mail-in rebate.. its only $9.99.. Where to find such good deals in Singapore?! Don't tel me the Great Singapore sales ok.. Anyway I'm really happy for ourselves.. haha abit ki siao le..

my new neighbours

The peace that I had for the past 7 months has officially ended today.. This afternoon while I was doing my usual chores at home, I overheard some guys talking loudly to themselves and in less than a few moments, I started to hear footsteps coming from the unit above.. That is it.. I've already had a "bad prediction" that day while walking back home.. I saw 2 males and a staff from my apartment office walking towards my direction.. They were coming from the vacant unit above mine.. In less than a week (which is today) they have moved into the unit.. I began to hear loud banging.. I mean really loud ones.. To make thing worst the houses here in Arizona were mainly made out from plaster and wood as the structure.. Unlike the bricks and concrete wall that I'm so used to back in Singapore.. It's their first day here and I shouldn't be complaining too much..Who doesn't make noise when they are moving? I know maybe those running away from loanshark.. hee.. I only hope that they are some considerate neighbours that will not make too much unnecessary noise especially after 8pm.. I wish they park their car properly and will not overpark into my lot.. I hope they don't run around the house and come crushing down into my unit.. hehe.. Gosh, I think I'm going to be a typical Singaporean style auntie soon.. I think I'll drop them a love letter when I'm free..

i sucks at everything i did today

my supposedly to-be thick vermicelli bitter gourd soup turned out exceptionally bitter today.. Because I didn't rub salt on the bitter gourd and I've left them in the pot of soup for too long that I'm practically drinking bitter fluid.. I woke up this morning feeling not too bad.. Thinking that its going to be another "wonderful" day with Davis.. The sky was pretty cloudy even though its 12 noon and that I even got into the mood of strolling around our apartment with Davis in his pram and walking Milkshake at the same time.. Things were going fine until Davis woke up from his afternoon nap.. Almost everything that I use to entertain him didn't kept him occupied for long. He was literally screaming and crying at me the whole time.. The meringue that we made yesterday didn't turn out as predicted.. I called nationwide and they got my address wrong.. The tv isn't working well and the graphic keeps pausing.. I can't have my shower and I desperately needed one.. When am I going to have a break?!? And I know the part 2 of the episode.. Daddy Kwong didn't had enough sleep last night and I knew he would be dying to meet his zhou gong when he come back.. I need a pillowtalk tonight.. or maybe I should just try to get some rest..

Davis enjoys watching the DVD that we got for him.. No matter how hard I try getting his attention behind the kitchen counter, he refuses to look at me!! Now thats interesting huh. ;P Sorry for the quality of the pict as I was too busy making silly sound and acting like a monkey that I forgot to focus at them..

So pissed today

The weekend finally arrived and this afternoon we drove to the Circuit city at Mcdowell 101 for some shopping.. As I was about to enter the premises, the charcoal security guard stopped me and ask me to leave my haversack with him and he said he would look after for me. It's so strange, everyone is walking in and out of the store carrying their own bags.. It's not that I'm carrying a super huge bag that is capable to steal a HDef 42" TV of whatsoever.. The haversack was important to us as it contain all of Davis's supplies.. I would probably have agreed if it's their store policy that every customer do so and provided that they have a proper place to store our bags.. And on that miserable looking chair that he had with him was empty.. Meaning he had let everyone before us entered the store and stopped me on purpose.. Prior to that I just wiped the shopping cart with my baby wipes to make sure that its clean for Davis to sit in.. So super pissed..and it just spoilt my shopping mood.. We had been to that store plenty of time and never once we had this kind of problem. I feel that it's a case of racism and I will not patronise that store ever again.. Just because we were the minority race doesn't mean I'm a pushover!!

Lapis session @ the HQ

The other day Shirley had left a box of lapis powder at Sheena house and so yesterday we met up to have our women's talk and bake some lapis.. It was halfway through that Linda realised the metal coating from the pot that she was beating the eggs with were peeling off and we wasted 10 eggs. Luckily I bought 2 dozen of eggs the other time and therefore I can still spare 10 eggs to redo that procedure again.. Shirley brought over her baking tin and I brought my heart shape tin over too as the mixture seems alot and we baked using the two container at the same time.. Eating is so easy.. but its hard work to bake the lapis as it has to be done layer by layer. Thats the pict of our end product.. the lower layer were badly burnt because the instruction on the box did not tell us the temperture needed for it.. we decided to try 350F and it wasnt cooked.. then Shirley tried 385F and it became burnt.. But overall the taste was not too bad as we were also short on rum, which was one of the ingredient needed..

hubby and I had already memorise this erhmm, song or verse by hard.. cause I'm singing it all the time.. It's not exactly a song nor a rap, so I really have no idea what to call it.. It's just something that we always say out while playing with milkshake.. I shall name it a verse for milkshake.. will that do?? Whenever we're saying this verse, it will normally add some spirit into our home and make it really noisy and cheerful.. See how I love my dog! She has a own verse.. And nonononono, there's isn't a typo error in my title or my post, her name is milkshake but in the verse I'll like to call her milkyshake..

Happy meal only for Adults

Davis went to bed rather late last night.. 10.30pm to be exact.. but he woke up at 6+ this morning. I feel so exhausted as I had a slight headache and haven't had enough sleep.. Sian, stomach start to growl again and its 10.30a.m now.. I took the leftover rice from last night dinner and made into fried rice this morning.. Very cute right.. kekee.. Later meeting the princesses at our HQ to bake some kueh lapis.. Hope its going to be successful..For the time being, I'm going to catch a nap now.. Pls God let Davis sleep longer so that I can have more rest myself.. ZZzz..

My philosophy of life

From year April 2006 onwards, I've changed the way I lived my life.. All thanks to God who is willing to accept me and I began my journey as a Christ follower.. What a coincidence, my name Christine means Follower of Christ.. It was fated.. I love my God and I don't want to leave Him.. Because I left Him before and gradually I went back my old way until people came knocking on my door, I woke up and realise what a fool I've have been.. God knows everything that is going to happen, even before they happen.. by avoiding Him, I'm only lying to myself.. But He knows...He's only waiting for me to go back to Him.. I'll only feel safe under His protective wings.
These are some of the ways I lived my live..

• I don't want to lie. even simplest question like how are you today? If I'm not doing good I would say I'm not than to just say I'm fine and shove that question away.. White lie is also a lie..
• I don't want to gamble. whether it involve $ or not. I'm not interested. Because I know that God doesn't want me to gamble, so no! I got upset that time when someone actually asked me to pull the jackpot for them because they say pregnant woman brings luck, and I don't know how to refuse. (Although I silently wish that I would strike some lucky draws or win the Powerball during CNY in AZ)
• I don't want to celebrate Halloween.. I almost gave into my temptation cause I know there would be so much fun.. I'm sorry Juliet.. It's about myself.. Satan be gone and stop testing me..
• I want to live a harmonious life with the people around me.. Easy said than putting it into action. I forgot about God's teaching and lived my way. I'm sorry to God because I got so emotional and threw everything that I've learn aside.. I'm sorry to Eric cause I've added unhappiness in our life.. I'm sorry to the other party cause I fail to forgive.. I'm sorry to myself for not forgetting and it's always haunting me. Satan won the 1st half. I'm going to win the 2nd..
• I want a happily ever after with Eric, because he is the one God matches me to.. I have to learn and accept every flaws that he has because I know I'm not perfect and he accepted every flaws that I have.. No matter what happen, I know I'm going to stick with him.. In a marriage, the two is join together as ONE.. Let no 3rd party come and destroy my marriage, do not accumulate hatred and learn to love and appreciate..
• I don't encourage multiple sex partners.. Regardless the party is your gf/bf, fling or whatsoever. Cherish your body as it's a gift from God to your spouse.. God took a rib bone from Adam's body and made Eve.. 1 for 1..
• I want to honour God in things that I do.. Like taking care of the little one and the big one. I had a mental struggle that time because I detest doing the dirty dishes, and Eric doesn't wash them for me all the time. So I switched to using disposables and also rubber gloves.. I'm sorry to Mother Earth because I'm adding trash and stress to her..
• I sincerely hope that all the people that I meet will eventually become God's child just like me.. Even though I may not be the one that lead them to Christ, but I want to influence them in whichever way possible. I need to be the flower that will bloom wherever I'm planted.. Spread the seeds, Spread the love..
• I don't believe in fengshui, nor karma, nor tarot card reading.. I think that's Satan's way to fool the world into stupidity and foolishness.. The more people shun away from the real God, after death, they're meeting Satan in hell.. he has got everything prepared to welcome you into the world of torment.. And there's is no way out!!
• I want to apply some words of God in my life, but I kept forgetting.. I have to learn to be selfless and to give more.. Love God, love your neighbour then love yourself..
• My 2 ultimate wishes for now.

1. To die before Eric, because I know I'll be very lonely if he leave before me,
2. To live in the heavenly home with God when the time is here.

a glimpse of hope (chapter 2)

These are the products that I'm going to use for our mini home treatment..

This is the pair of hands that has worked very hard for our family.. Due the harsh weather in Arizona, Daddy Kwong pair of hand looks really dry and rough.. For now, I'm going to 'perform' my mini home treatment on him.. Hope he can enjoy the process..
Step 1: Wash hand with hand soap and towel dry.

Step 2: Exfoliate hand with Clarins Skin smoothing body scrub to remove the dead skin cell,

Step 3: Wash hand with lukewarm water and towel dry

Step 4: Apply a generous amount of Clarins eye mask and use the cling wrap to wrap the hand

Step 5: Wait for 10 min then remove wrap, wash hand and towel dry

Step 6: Apply Crabtree and Evelyn Hand therapy.

Taadaa.. take a look at this pair of well moisturized hand. Even after the 1st treatment, Daddy Kwong hands is visibly more supple and healthy looking!! My mini home treatment is suitable for all skin type, all age group.. Recommanded twice a week for maximum results.. ;)

Milkshake and Davis

Santa send his helper out early this year. This little fellow must have entered my house through the window and fell onto the bed.. I want to kidnap him because he forgot my present and I have been nice all year..

Poor Milkshake wants to enter Davis room but we blocked her out.. She's lying on the floor watching me and Davis having playtime on the mat.. I don't have an option. She likes to step on the mat and we have to forbid her from coming in.. I'm sorry Milkshake, but you're still my good girl girl..

This morning before Daddy Kwong leave for work, he came into our bedroom and told me he've changed Davis's diaper and he hasn't poo.. So just now while we were playing in the room I smell some poo, the room was rather dark so i just bend over my head and sniff through the diaper to make sure.. Oh my gosh!! So smelly. Baby poo stink and I almost fainted..

What's cooking?

Woke up at 9.30am to fix something for my growling stomach, and what you're seeing is the remains of my breakfast.. So upset when I open the microwave door and got this surprise! How come I can cook maggie mee with the mircowave but not the cereal? =(

Had to cook something fast and filling.. Haven't had ABC soup for a long time and I added some curd skin cause I'm too lazy to defrost the meat.. I'm going to mash some of the carrot and potato for Davis later.. Hope he likes them..

My new recipe.. Doesn't it look tasty? I can't help but feeling proud of myself for this innovative invention.. Taste darn great too.. All I did was to add a can of braised pork and some dried shimp to my rice and cook them together in the rice cooker!! Too bad I can only enjoy my yummylicious lunch on my own as Daddy Kwong is still at work..

The elves are back!!

I can almost hear the Xmas bells as the days are drawing closer.. And the elves are back in full force!! Not only did they added three new dances, now they even let u personalise gifts that you can bring home.. Thou there's nothing much of interest to me, but I know I would still probably buy a mug or a mouse pad to keep as a souvenir. Thats kind of my weakness yet I'll still fall for it..

Sedona, Fall 2008

In case if you were wondering where is the Sedona I'm talking about. This is the map of Arizona.. see how big it is compared to Singapore.. It took us about 2hr 30 min to get to Sedona.. So usually we will have to set out early in the day and leave before the sky turns dark.. Especially so during the end of year as the sun sets pretty early now..

This is so cute.. Chauffeur of the day is our Davis boy boy. He's going to drive us to Sedona (aka the red rock country).. so Kawaii.. And hey, that's my son you're looking at!!!

This is the main reason I wanted to go Sedona so badly.. The maple trees!! This will be my last Fall in the states, so by hook or by crook, I MUST GO AND BID THEM GOODBYE as I wasn't able to take any photos with the leaves when I was holidaying at Canada last month.. And Sedona seems like the only place which is near enough for us to drive up to..

This is damn scary.. You won't know it unless you're there.. When I was walking towards the middle, I can actually see the surrounding moving past me and almost wanted to chicken out.. And then...

I squatted down.. haha.. It's all because of that stupid hunny who took his own sweet time to get to me.. are we done yet!! I just wanna get myself out of there

Finally reached the top of the mountain after 2hr.. I absolutely have no idea that we were on a hiking excursion and that's why I wasn't properly attired.. who in the right mind who wear boots and make it so dirty.. Luckily I can still wipe those sands off..

Feed me or else

I've always said this, a hungry baby is a crying baby.. You should have seen him scream and yell whenever we are slow in preparing his milk.. Men can be so impatient! I can only pray that he doesn't grow up behaving like that.. Even Merry who stay opposite can hear him..Faint

Hehe, I can smile now.. Feeling full and satisfied after having his banana peach granola.. Yummy yum yum!! It's delicious.. He's now having some of the peach and mango little puffs from Parent's choice while I'm updating my blog.. These snacks are great.. Thanks to Jasmine for telling me..I wonder how Riko is doing, perhaps I should drop by some day..

Baby food can be yummy food

Take your pick! Extra calcium or whole grains? I would rather buy both than to waste my time standing at the aisle procrastinating which is the better choice.. These little puffs melts in the mouth and like its name, its really puffy.. Taste wise, hmm I like them both.. and I'm eating so much I forgot that I didn't buy them for myself.

The Singaporean KS (afraid to lose) attitude just possessed me whenever I start browsing up and down the shelves of baby food, running my fingers through the neatly arranged bottled baby puree, I'll be sure to look for these magic alphabets.. DHA.. Not that I'm worried with the development of Davis' eyes and brain but if its proven that this stuff works. I'm gonna try it.. And how I wish sometime in the near future, they could just sell me a bottle of concentrated DHA so that I can add it into whatever food that I'm putting into Davis mouth.. now thats going overboard.. I know, i'm just kidding..

What is Davis doing at home?

Having a fun time with his musical gym that Master Pey bought for him on his baby shower.. Oops he did it again.. He just got into the habit of ripping off the parts and stuffing it into his mouth.. I bet it won't be long before I'll start seeing the carcass of the bird and froggie (from his jumperoo) lying on the floor..

Playtime with his new toy.. This ball can play music and roll on its own! how awesome.. but its very dirty now cause Davis likes to put whatever that he can lay his hands on into his little mouth..
This is another one of his plaything that daddy insisted on buying for him.. Having fun in his jumperoo!! Davis can get really excited. Once he start, he can't stop! Now is a good time to buy one from Walmart cause they're having a rollback..

Davis is sitting on the car seat, attentively watching his new dvd.. hopefully he will soon be able to gesture back to us!! Recently we bought an electronic scale and Davis weighs 9kg at six months old.

how to fold and use a cloth diaper

This is meant for those mommy that would prefer to use the cloth diapers than disposable diapers. Cloth diapers are environmental friendly and a great way to save money. If you've forgotten how to fold one, here it is!

I'm using my son's swaddle cloth as a demonstration..
fold the cloth diaper in half.
hold one end and ..
pull it over to the other side. forming a triangle
flip the cloth diaper over

put your baby in the centre of the cloth diaper. fasten with a safety pin.. All done!

everything for him

We just received this dvd in the mail.. Daddy saw the advertisement at the hospital on that day when i was in labour and he has been bugging me ever since.. We saw that it was out of stock in the toy 'r' us website and it wasn't available in the store either.. Luckily I was able to find it on the ebay and here it is!! Gonna spend the rest of the days watching it with Davis.. The dvd is suitable for babies from 10 months to 3 yr old.. I think I may be abit early but then if it's able to keep Davis occupied, why not!!

This is definately going into the keepsake box.. Our customise carplate!! As a memento for Davis to let him know that he's made in USA.. heee.. YULE BB means Yu Le Bao Bao..

Swadelling made easy

Swadelling is one good way to calm your newborn down and to encourage them to sleep longer. In this entry, I shall demostrate how to swadel your baby.. Davis is now too big to be swadelled so I've used his winnie the pooh (gift fm jessica) as a replacement.. Personally I feel that swadelling is good for newborn till they're about 3 month old..
